Gabe T. Tsampalieros, was honoured in 2006 with the Lifetime
Achievement Award. Gabe is the Chairman of the Board and Owner of the Dinecorp Group of Companies, and
Chairman of the Board for The Second Cup Ltd.
Klaus D. Tenter, was honoured in 2003 with his Lifetime Achievement Award. Klaus was the General Manager of
the Four Seasons Hotel, Toronto. Klaus is now the the COO and President of the new Hazelton Hotel in
Toronto.
J. Charles Grieco, was honoured, and to the thrill of the audience at the Gala, was very suprised, to be
honoured with his Lifetime Achievement Award in 2002. Charles is the Chair and President of the Ontario
Hostelry Institute. On June 10, 2008 Charles was awarded an Honourary Degree in Hospitality Management by the
Centre for Hospitality and Culinary Arts at George Brown College.
Rigzin Dolkar, In recognition of more than 25 years of passion and dedication in her role as Executive
Director, essential to the growth and development of the Ontario Hostelry Institute and its mandated work on
behalf of the culinary, hospitality and tourism industries, as well as the professional education and training
necessary to the development of life-long hospitality careers - and latterly directing the OHI’s management of
the Canadian Hospitality Foundation - that has helped shape Ontario and Canada’s modern hospitality industry
and will continue to influence its future.
Michael Beckley, In recognition of his dedication and passion for the hospitality, lodging and accommodation
industry and to the men and women who have helped to shape Canada’s world-class facilities and in addition for
your continuous support of their professional training, executive and management education both within our
Colleges and Universities, and within the industry’s environment while tangibly leading a campaign to ensure
the modernization of one of Canada’s foremost hospitality and culinary facilities.
Donna Dooher, In recognition of her dedication and passion for the culinary and hospitality world, and your
personal creative role in it, and to the men and women who have helped to shape Canada’s world-class dining
facilities and in particular for your continuous support of their professional training, executive and
management education both within our Colleges and Universities; and within the industry’s environment while;
tangibly leading a campaign to ensure the modernization of one of Canada’s foremost culinary and hospitality
