The evening would not be complete without the acknowledgement of the Fellows who where inducted in 2008. These participants were presented by co-chair Donna Doher and were honoured with a resounding applause by the gathering.

After reading off all student scholarship recipients the Gala was introduced to Heather Wiltse, who spoke on behalf of all the student scholarship winners. This is a major part of what it is all about and the audience showed their appreciation and congratulations with resounding calls of encouragement and applause.

Co-chair Lynn Crawford introduced Pastry Chef Bettina Schormann (who has written about her Paris and New York experiences in the Professional Development section of the web site). Bettina gave a delightful review of her experiences and implored the OHI to continue their great work that is so beneficial to professionals.

Dan Young also took the podium as a representative for the Top 30 Under 30 winners. Dan thanked the OHI, and the hospitality profession for working together to recognize and these fine examples of up and coming hospitality professionals.
